Brill Ranks #6 Top Elementary School in Texas

KLEIN, TX — Brill Elementary has been named one of the top elementary schools in Texas, earning an impressive #6 ranking among elementary campuses statewide for its strong academic performance and commitment to student success.

“We are incredibly proud of our students, teachers, and families for this remarkable accomplishment,” Brill Principal Ellen Hodge said. “This recognition highlights our commitment to high expectations, innovative learning, and a supportive school culture where every child can thrive.”

Brill Elementary offers a robust Dual Language program, Gifted and Talented education, and advanced STEM learning opportunities with hands-on, project-based experiences.

“This impressive recognition is a reflection of the heart and excellence that define Brill Elementary and its incredible school community,” Superintendent Dr. Jenny McGown said. “We are so proud of the dedicated educators, students, and families who work together every day to ensure that every student experiences success and feels seen, known, and valued.”

This achievement belongs to the whole Brill family, whose love, dedication, and teamwork make every learning experience meaningful.

“This recognition is a testament to Brill's incredible leadership, dedicated teaching staff, and the caring community behind it,” Brill parent and staff member Leigh Ann Reese said. “Seeing the children's hard work and love for learning celebrated makes me so proud to be part of this school. Brill truly deserves this honor.”

Brill also earned an overall A rating on the TEA accountability system last year. In addition, the school received two distinctions, one in Mathematics and another for being in the Top 25% for Closing the Gaps.

Brill Assistant Principal Ms. Nix shared her excitement about the school’s recognition.

“We are beyond thrilled to experience this great honor,” Ms. Nix said. “We have the best students, staff, and parents, all of whom are supportive of the learning at Brill. We at Brill believe every student can learn through hands-on and real-life experiences, which showcases that we are all BRILLiant together!”

As one of 33 elementary campuses in Klein ISD, Brill’s success underscores the district’s mission to ensure every student enters with a promise and exits with a purpose.
